D0199: Vintage Bakhtiari Garden Panel Rug
This is a very nice vintage Bakhtiari Garden or Panel rug made in the 1950’s or earlier. It’s called a Garden rug because it has 25 unique panels of garden scenes that are repeated on either side of a center row of 5 Garden pictures of birds on branches, willow trees, flowers, floral sprays, grape clusters, and fountains which are seen in the ideal Persian garden. This piece has 55 panels of muted earth tones of browns, faded greens, corals, cinnamon,blues, and grays. The ivory border with undulating, restrained vines of browns and green complete the rug.
This is a great piece for any space in your abode… be it the living room, bedroom, dining room, foyer or even the kitchen.
