Description
An antique, one-of-a-kind, hand-knotted Persian Meshkabad, made in Iran with all natural dyes and hand-spun wool taken from the spring-time shearing of lambs. Woven with the typical Meshkabad border of solo floral motifs spaced almost evenly around the border and with that special overall floral design (sometimes mistakenly confused with the herati (fish) design). The rug measures approximately 4.5 x 7 ft, and its central medallion is offset by a ¼ medallion design in the corners (spandrels) of the rug. This antique beauty has overall wear commensurate with its age. Ends and sides are fully intact.
This rug will command a sense of old world elegance wherever it is placed in a room.
