D0262. This is a pair of silk rugs made in China of mulberry silk in the style of Isfahan pictorial rugs. The weave is very fine with a knot count of 324 kpsi. The foundation is silk as well as the pile. Many birds and deer adorn the borders as well as cranes in the upper corners. The pair are identical with a mirror image of the other rug. The picture includes a couple in an embrace coming out of a vase as though it is a dream and 2 other figures below who are also included in this fantasy. The condition is excellent in the rugs body and borders. The long silk fringes have scattered missing areas which can be repaired for a fee.

D0216: This nomadic, tribal piece is called a Balitsch or a pillow bag and was used by a nomadic Baluch tribe. This bag is intact with both it front and kilim back. The's nomadic pieces are always made with hand-spun wool and hand-dyed wool from natural elements or insect dyes of their region which tend to be of darker colors. Please note the concentric, repeating medallions, radiating from the center, which the weaver has woven in as a protective symbol used by tribes to ward off the Evil Eye. The electric blue in this rug is stunning. Perfect as a wall hanging, Pillow cover, couch throw or on the floor, table, or chair. Size: 28" x 48" Age: 1900 - 1910 Condition: Excellent for a piece of this age. It has been professionally washed.

D0284: 120 years old Afshar pile rug in exemplary condition. Possibly an Azerbaijan, Kuba piece from Southeastern Caucasus per another rug collector. Size: 32" x 41.5 " Condition: Great wool and dyes with No fading colors. Age: 1900 Remarks : A rare collectors piece which has turned many heads. This tribal textile was not made for the export market, but intended for the tribe's on use. It is too big for a bag face but used as a carpet in the family's dwelling.

R0071: Turkmen Silk foundation/ Wool Rug. Persian Turkmen Tribe, Northeast Persia includng adjacent Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. From the Shah Hadid design, this pretty silk foundation, kurk wool rug is finely woven by the Turkmen tribe and its design is associated with the Mauri (silk road) weavings. Great accent piece on floor or wall. Condition: Excellent pile, moss-like wool that shimmets, shorn evenly low, ends and sides are intact, with an incredibly fine, high knot count.

D0124: This is a Vintage Turkmen rug made in Turkmenistan or Afghanistan by the Saryk Turkmen tribes, made with luxurious, shiny wool and many Shamanistic symbols. Note the one, asymmetric Prayer comb woven in the bottom right of the rug or this could also possibly be a type of signature. It is frequently call a main carpet because it is the size of a carpet used on the floor of the nomad's tent. This was rug is not an antique, but a vintage piece probably made by the tribe for sale in the market in the 1950's. This rug was NOT MADE in Pakistan or India. Size: 50" by 71" Age: 1950 Condition: Excellent, there are no worn areas or missing sides or ends.
