These pieces are known for their prominent central medallion and radiating cloud band and arabesque encircling motifs of stylized dragons and tendrils. Crimson rich reds from the cochineal beetle, natural, non synthetic blues and ivory are used extensively throughout the design. A Persian knot is used to create the floral and arabesque design. All sides and ends are intact. There are a few low areas as seen in the pictures which account for the lower price. If perfect, this rug would be priced at 3 times the current price.
