Description: It is a rarer type, made for tribal use, and not commonly found outside of the tribe. NOTE the inconsistences i the border and the design elements. This is a wonderful one of a kind piece that can be used on the floor for many decades to come.

Note: the Herati design is an ancient design originating from the city of Herat. It features a swimming fish and leaf or flowery design.

Remarks: 130 year old rug from Northwest Persia with coveted Harshang and opposing birds design. Indigo blue field, carnelian, coral,sapphire blue zoomorphic figures surrounded by 5 borders of alternating carnations, Shah Abas symbol, and repeating botefs and carnations.

Remarks:
A tribal utilitarian piece, used by semi- nomadic Lorestan tribe in central, southwestern Persia. to carry home goods from their winter to summer quarters in the region of the Zagros mountains.
Totally hand knotted pile with hand died, hand spun wool with finest wool from sheep whose wool is enriched bu the mountainous water.

Remarks: From the Kerman region of South Central Iran, hand-knotted with natural and chemical dyes. Very intricate medallion design with meticulously woven botefs, precisely woven to create rows of botefs that organically swirl around in perfect rows.

Remarks:
Authentic, used tribal /nomadic piece. The weaver hand sewed a small rug to a hand woven kilim to make a bag she could use as a utility bag to store household items to be carried when they migrated from winter to summer dwellings. The front has the Guls of her Turkmen tribe.

Condition: Very good ... ends are intact and tied off with orginal sides. Professionally washed.
Remarks:
Toisarkan is one of the 500 villages on the Hamadan plain which wove rugs and took them to the Hamadan market to sale in the bazaar.

Materials: All Wool: hand spun and hand dyed with all natural dyes.
Condition: Very good with clear clean colors and complete sides and ends and overall good pile.
Remarks: Gendje Tribal version is clearly recognizable from the typical diagonal stripes, with vegetable dyes of pumpkin, ocher, sea grass green and an outer and inner running dog border. This piece is very supple and blanket-like with all wool warp, weft and pile.

Condition: Good antique antique condition. Some low areas throughout, but a sturdy attractive piece with good natural dyes and fuchsine dyes only used in the 19th Century. There are some old original repairs made by the weaver which are decades old.
Remarks: Unusual colors from aged vegetable, natural dyes, and fuchine dyes.
This is a tribal piece woven by a woman from the Tekke tribe who lived in Northeastern Persia from one of the nomadic Turkmen tribes. These woven pieces are known for their fine wool and the repeatin Gul medallions that are emblematic of their tribal flags.

Condition: Very good condition with ends and sides in tact having original fringes and sides. Some low areas with clear resilient colors and pile. No breaks, tears, discoloration or stains. Pristine cleaned by professionals.
Remarks : This rug made in the early 50's under the auspices of Master Kerman weaver, Arjomand.. These rug are predominantly woven by weavers who speak Persian and who are Shia Muslims.Large and small workshops as well as home production are the rule following a fairly narrow range of designs.primarily in highly floral medallion plan and medallion all over designs.
